Spectacular example of a heavily pyritized fossil shark tooth. This particular specimen was found in Savannah, GA and it shows some pyritization on the display side and absolutely stunning, nearly full mineral replacement on the “front” of the root, giving the root a full metal look to it! Absolute prime specimen showing how pyrite can overtake the fossilization process!
